Instagram is full of inspiring quotes and captions, but sometimes a simple phrase can capture the essence of a much larger idea. "Healing is Hard" is one such statement that is at the top of my instagram feed as it resonates with many people, especially those on a journey towards natural healing and detoxification. And because it's hard it requires our inner warrior to battle the hardships that come along this journey of natural healing methods and detoxification.
In this blog post, I'll explore with you what it means to heal naturally, how it can be challenging, and some tips and tricks for making the journey more fun and enjoyable to support your inner warrior.
What is Natural Healing?
Natural healing refers to the practice of using natural remedies and techniques to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This can include things like herbal medicine, acupuncture, meditation, breathwork, ice baths and saunas, yoga, and more. The idea behind natural healing is that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, given the right tools, outer and inner environment, plus support.
Healing can take many forms, depending on the individual's needs and goals. For example, someone might be seeking relief from chronic pain, while another person might be looking to improve their mental health. Regardless of the specifics, the goal of natural healing is to restore balance and harmony to the body, mind, and spirit.
So Why is Healing Hard?
While the idea of natural healing may sound appealing to most, it's not always an easy path to follow. Hence why many choose not to engage in the first place. And if they do they feel the following and retreat back to their comfortable lives that are hindering the healing process.
Here are some reasons why:
It requires patience and persistence. Natural healing techniques often take time to produce results, and it can be frustrating to stick with a regimen when progress seems slow.
It can be expensive. I personally spent over $40K to only come to find where I was going wrong and then actually start my true healing journey. Some natural healing practices, like acupuncture, herbal remedies, supplements etc can be costly, especially if they're not covered by insurance.
It does requires lifestyle changes. As a natural healing practitioner this is where I see people struggle the most. Natural healing often involves making changes to your diet, movement routine, and other aspects of your lifestyle. This can be difficult for people who are used to a certain way of living.
It can be uncomfortable. Detoxification, in particular, can be a physically and emotionally uncomfortable process as the body releases stored toxins. 9 times out of 10 you usually feel worse when you start this journey before you feel better. This is a process known as the healing cure.
Despite these challenges, many people find that the benefits of natural healing are well worth the effort. It most certainly saved my life and I know my coaching clients share the same gratitude. Improved physical health, reduced stress and anxiety, and a greater sense of well-being are just a few of the rewards that come with a commitment to natural healing.
Tips for Making Natural Healing Fun and Entertaining.
If you're embarking on a journey towards natural healing and detoxification, there are a few things you can do to make the process more enjoyable. I have found that those who embrace these are the ones who finish the race of their healing. Those who don't can end up feeling defeated, burntout and lonely. It's like their inner warrior gives up.
Find a community. Healing can be a lonely journey, but it doesn't have to be. Look for groups or online communities of people who share your goals and interests.
Try new things. Experiment with different natural healing techniques and find what works best for you. Trying new things can be a fun and exciting way to stay motivated.
Make it social. Invite friends to join you for a yoga class or try out a new recipe together. I know of a group who do enemas and flushes in their backyards together. That's a little too far out there for me but healing doesn't have to be a solitary activity.
Get creative. Explore different ways to incorporate natural healing into your daily routine. For example, you could start each day with a meditation or take a relaxing bath with Epsom salts in the evening.
Celebrate your successes. When you make progress towards your healing goals, take time to acknowledge and celebrate your achievements. This can help keep you motivated and inspired.
In conclusion, healing is hard, but it's also incredibly rewarding. Whether you're seeking relief from physical pain or looking to improve your mental health, natural healing techniques can offer a path to greater well-being. By staying patient, persistent, and open to new experiences, you can make the journey towards natural healing and detoxification fun and entertaining. So go ahead, let your inner warrior take that first step, and see where the path takes you!
